Archives Lanark
We are an independent, non-profit, volunteer organization, incorporated in Ontario and a registered charity in Canada. The nine-member Board includes representation from the County Council. Archives Lanark was established in 2002. The foundation of the Archives Collections are the land abstract books for Lanark County.
Carleton Place
Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum
Visit us to learn all about the history of the town of Carleton Place and the Township of Beckwith! We're located in a beautiful stone building constructed in 1872 as the town hall and "lock up". Converted into Victoria School in 1879, it saw hundreds of children pass through the doors until closing in 1969.
Middleville
Middleville and District Museum
Step into the Past at the Middleville and District Museum featuring an 1861 schoolhouse, an 1820's cabin and an extensive collection of local artifacts showcasing rural community life. The Museum is also home to a collection of family histories as well as municipal and school records for the area.

Watson's Corners
Dalhousie Library Museum
​Founded in 1828 by Scottish pioneer settlers who emigrated to Canada, the Dalhousie Library was a cornerstone of the community of Watson’s Corners for many years. The Library was one of the first rural libraries in Upper Canada. Now located in the Watson’s Corners Community Hall, the Museum holds over 1300 books, many dating back to the early 1800s, local household and farming artifacts, family history information and reference books on local settlement history. Open weekends and public holidays during summer months.
