Lanark County Arts & Heritage (LCAH) aims to represents cultural organizations throughout the
county, providing a forum for communication and collaboration. LCAH enthusiastically
promotes the activities and events of member sites and provides professional development
opportunities.

Archives Lanark

We are an independent, non-profit, volunteer organization, incorporated in Ontario and a registered charity in Canada. The nine-member Board includes representation from the County Council. Archives Lanark was established in 2002.  The foundation of the Archives Collections are the land abstract books for Lanark County.

We tell the stories of mill-workers, labour history and the textile industry in the Mississippi Valley and provide an open, inclusive space for the local community and visitors from across the globe.

Carleton Place

Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum

Visit us to learn all about the history of the town of Carleton Place and the Township of Beckwith! We're located in a beautiful stone building constructed in 1872 as the town hall and "lock up". Converted into Victoria School in 1879, it saw hundreds of children pass through the doors until closing in 1969.
